Speaking
A talk that shifts the room...
and stays with it.
Coach Jon doesn't give a speech about leadership. He tells a story that lets the room see their own leadership differently... leaders, teams, families, all in the same business.
The signature keynote
The Business of Leadership.
Jon opens by telling the room he started his first business in 2002. A second in 2003. A third in 2006. No investors, no business plan, just passion and a lot of sleepless nights. The audience has him pegged as a serial entrepreneur.
Then the turn. Their names are Bella, Gigi, and Wil. The three businesses are his kids.
Raising kids and building businesses both demand the same things... clarity, consistency, communication, and a lot of caffeine.
From there the whole talk runs on that metaphor. Parenting as the ultimate leadership bootcamp... no handbook, no holidays, no HR department. The lessons he learned at home turn out to be the same ones every leader is trying to learn at work.
Three lessons from home
Vision
When the kids were small, he gave them permission to dream... Santa, fairy tales, the belief that anything was possible. The parallel for leaders: give people something to believe in before you ask them to build it with you.
Communication
A home full of humor and nightly conversation, not just about grades but about feelings and curiosity. Communication starts with connection. You earn the hard conversations by having the easy ones first.
Accountability
The moment he stopped himself from rescuing a struggling child and let it play out. Letting go doesn't mean you stop leading... it means you start trusting the people you've poured into.
The heart of it
You can't be one kind of leader at work and another behind closed doors.
Leadership doesn't clock out when you close your laptop. It's who you are when the people who know you best are watching. That's the shift at the center of the talk... from performance to presence.
Whether you're leading a company, serving your country, or raising a family, we're all in the same business. The business of leadership. And it's really stewardship... taking good care of what's been entrusted to you.
The world doesn't need more bosses. It needs more builders... of people, of culture, of character. And when you grow the leader, you grow everything that follows.
What the room takes home
Not a highlight reel. A shift they can act on.
- Why the best leadership lessons show up at home, not in the boardroom.
- How to move from performance to presence, and lead as the same person publicly and privately.
- What stewardship really means when a team, a family, and a calling are all entrusted to you.
- The shift from building teams to building trust, and from growing a business to growing yourself.
More talks
A catalog built on the same thread.
Beyond the signature keynote, Coach Jon speaks on leadership, culture, and behavior. Every talk can run as a keynote to inspire, or a workshop to build the skill... same voice, different depth.
Self-Mastery: The Six Fundamentals
The inner operating system of a leader who grows on purpose... Awareness, Belief, Focus, Action, Growth, and Ownership. Where lasting change actually starts.
Core Compass
Mission, vision, values, behaviors, and practices, back into alignment. When the compass is clear, the hard decisions get easier.
Crucial Conversations
How to stay honest and human when the stakes and the temperature rise. The conversations most teams avoid are the ones that move them forward.
Dialogue Over Data
Data informs, dialogue transforms. Under pressure we default to control... this trains the reflex to get curious and ask instead of assume.
The Case for Culture
What you tolerate becomes your culture. A practical look at how culture is really built... on the quality of our everyday conversations.
DISC: Lead on Their Terms
The Platinum Rule over the Golden Rule. Read how your people are wired, and meet them the way they need to be met, not the way you would.
